Madagascar
Humid forest paths, clearings and exposed ground in eastern forest corridors.
Diurnal runner and visual predator.
Small arthropods.
Solitary.
Identification keys use an exact combination of black hairless head and pronotum, whitish-yellow hind tarsi, and orange-ochre elytra carrying paired black patches that reach the margin and suture in a precise way.
Peridexia contains only about four described species and is confined to Madagascar, making fulvipes part of a complete tiger-beetle lineage that evolved nowhere else on Earth.
Rapid surveys recorded it within the Mantadia–Zahamena forest corridor, where the number and composition of tiger-beetle species changed sharply between neighbouring sites and exposed habitat fragmentation.
