Around the World in 21 Tiger Beetles
A bold fine art poster celebrating 21 tiger beetle portraits, chosen for colour, shape, pattern and presence.
Tiger beetles are among the most charismatic insects on Earth: fast, alert, beautifully patterned and often astonishingly colourful. This poster brings together their elegance, aggression and jewel-like detail in one art-led composition.
21 selected tiger beetle portraits arranged as a bold wall piece.
Speed, colour, pattern and predatory elegance.
Tiger beetles are built for speed and vision, but up close they also reveal extraordinary colour, structure and design.
Twenty-one portraits of one of the most spectacular beetle groups.
This poster was created as a companion piece to my ant faces poster, but redesigned around the portrait shape of tiger beetles. Their long legs, antennae and elegant bodies need height, so the composition uses portrait rectangles rather than small squares.
The large feature portrait focuses on the tiger beetle face: the huge eyes, strong jaws and intense predatory character that make this group so instantly recognisable.
Each beetle was chosen for its visual power: metallic colour, markings, body shape, texture and contrast. Together, they create a piece that feels both natural-history-inspired and deliberately designed as wall art.
